Enjoy our little cottage and alpaca farm in the woods

Located at base of Ricketts Glen State Park - just a quick 2-minute ride and you are at the base of Ricketts Glen Falls trail.  Where you are able to hike along the beautiful trail up the mountain along these stunning waterfalls.  After your hike relax on this working alpaca farm - that's right we have a farm here in the woods you can relax and watch all the animals -Alpacas, chickens, ducks and cats.  Learn about these beautiful animals.  

Nestled in the middle of 34 acres - you will enjoy the peace and tranquility of our private cottage you can relax with a cup of coffee or a nice cocktail while enjoying your escape from the hustle and bustle of the of the city.  Watch for deer, fox, coyote, chipmunks and especially our free-range ducks and chickens.  

After enjoying your day at the park, come back and relax by a campfire or have your dinner on the deck and enjoy the stars.  Relax on one of our hammocks or the swing.

Our cottage is a comfortable space bosting 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dinette, full washer and dryer, comfortable living room and a great private deck as well as a inviting campfire area with a relaxing hammock.  All for you to enjoy and wash away the craziness of life. All nestled on 34 acres.  

There is so much to do while you are here - Start with an energizing trip up the waterfalls. Be sure to take snacks and water and make sure you have proper footwear to make this trip memorable.  If you don't want to do the Falls Trail there are numerous other trails in the park to explore (park maps are available in the cottage).  You can enjoy a hot summer day at Lake Jean beach, go kayaking, canoeing, boating or fishing (available to rent at the park).  The town of Benton is home to unique shops to peruse on an afternoon.  A great day trip is spending the day at Knoebels amusement park (approx. 45 minutes away) perfect for a day of fun.  You can visit Eagles Mere and peruse the shops on your way to Worlds End State Park.   

We have plenty of places to eat here as well.  Enjoy your dinner at the Ricketts Glen Hotel, or The Copper Penny in Jamison City.  The Town of Benton also has a couple of fantastic places to eat.  Just keep in mind that places close early here so be sure you get there early.  Most restaurants stop serving about 8 pm.  

Your cottage is also equipped with a full kitchen and a gas barbeque grill if you decide to enjoy your meals at home.   

We have been Hosting our cottage since 2019 and have all 4.95 to 5 star reviews our site was being managed by a management company.  We have just started our own self-management but please see some of our previous reviews listed below.
